Grangemouth 10k 23/4/06
While the London marathoners were labouring under leaden skies, those taking part in the Grangemouth 10k were enjoying a gorgeous spring day. OK, the immediate scenery isn't up to much but the race is well organised and on a good day can be very fast. Sunday's winning time was 30:13.
Top Porties were club newcomers John Bogie and Susan Forrest, both recording big PBs - John under the magic 40 with 39:00 and Susan with an excellent 43:07. The Porty also rans were Keith Mayfield 39:14, Tom Watson 40:00, and Alan Aitchison 44:22.
