Teviotdale Harriers Hawick 10k

After the last few weeks quality training on Wednesday
nights-Bert/Paul's speed sessions and with my legs recovered from Gordon's
steps session at Duddingston I decided to attempt the 10k at Hawick.
I've done this course before - along the riverside, across a bridge
and back up the other side and round again. I like 2 lap courses - gala
10k, east kilbride 1/2 etc.as they seem to be shorter when you cover
the distance twice (maybe it's just me). Anyway it's a nice flattish
run with one steep hill each lap. 20 - 25 seconds up the hill which
is enough hills for me.
Decent run (about a minute slower than Gala & Peebles
a few months back.) Think I'll need a short course to get sub 40 again.
First Portie runner home (an advantage of being the only one there).
Saw Eddie Izzard running up the road at Dalkeith with
a few fetch runners on his 1000 mile seven week marathon for sports
relief. Respect to that guy.
