Smokies (Ladies) 10 miler, 2/03/08
While she may not race very often, when she does she does, as she would put it, ‘do okay’. So to sunny Arbroath for the Smokies 10 Mile race where Jill defended her title for the third year running with a Smokies personal best of 62:58, half a minute ahead of the second placed runner.
One of the biggest challenges for this year was the unwelcome attention of a collie dog which kept her company for a couple of miles and which almost caused the lead out car driver to intervene before the collie finally got bored trying to trip Jill up. Well done to Sally Scott who came home in 18th place with a time of 72:28.
