With such glorious weather and surroundings for the cross country I had to record the event. I took film and stills of the women's event and Mary did the men's. Best accessory on the day was the "gorilla pod" a small flexible-legged tripod you can make grip a fence which gives rock solid video pictures. We set the camera to burst mode which takes closely consecutive pictures.
With way too much video and over a 1000 still images the challenge was to present as much of the day without it taking longer than the event itself. Hence the somewhat condensed result. New software (many thanks Margaret Hunter - Mary's mum) made life easier but in order to output a reasonable enough quality film the file had to be massive. This may prove difficult to download so let me know if you have problems viewing the above.
