Warsaw 5k

Here I am on holiday and then I buy Polish Runners World magazine, suddenley I see a local race in Warsaw. I thought I enter it and although I was partying to much and hardly running in Poland, I'll give it a go. So when I went to the race, I find out that over 1000 people are doing a 5k race, which is a high turnout.

I suddenly see a famous runner; a guy in the name of Marcin Urbas, he was 110m hurdler, so I went up to him and asked him for a picture with him. He kindly said yes, he asked where I'm from and I told him proudly about our club.

So the race itself went ok I suppose, did it in 21 mins, it wasnt my best time but what do you expect when you're on holiday partying. The atmosphere wasn't as good as in Scotland as some people thought they are the Bekeles of this world.

The guy who won it, did it in 13.47. Overall it was good racing in Poland and the race was well organised.
