Christmas Night Out 5/12/08
Busy weekend starting with the Christmas Bash which was a great success. Not only a huge bargain but lots of fun in a good venue. Much dancing and drinking. Very well done to Shelagh and co for organising such an event and having it run so smoothly. Any incriminating photos can be sent here for publication, as ever. Very good food which turned out not to be the rumoured treats on sticks from Iceland but a good carbo-loading plateful eshewing the customary xmas school dinner so prevalent at this time of the year. For those with a race the following day the liberal amounts of wine on the tables proved dangerous, and my plan to sober up by drinking only white wine wasn't a complete success. The only thing lacking was a chill out room for those who wished to chat without having to bellow over the very loud music. We were all very hoarse next morning. Lots of fun.
